New Tiki in Lake Worth

Big Kahuna Tiki Huts had the pleasure of building a tiki hut at Hidden Oaks Elementary School in Lake Worth, Florida. Hidden Oaks is one of 120+ elementary schools in the Palm Beach County School district. It serves kindergarten through fifth grades.

Between classes, the students enjoyed watching the crew as they built the cypress wood structure of the 20x20 foot tiki hut. The solid cypress poles of the hut are hewn to a smooth finish. The next crew to arrive after the structure was complete, was the thatching crew. They individually attach fresh cut palm fronds to the top of the hut, creating an authentic tiki (chickee) hut for the students to enjoy for many years.
